Dr. Renee Behinfar was born and raised in Oak Brook, Illinois . She studied English literature at Arizona State University receiving her Bachelors degree in 2002. Having a passion to help others and for supporting those struggling with mental health, she pursued her education in that field receiving a Masters degree in mental health counseling in 2006 and a Doctorate of Psychology in clinical psychology in 2010.
Dr. Behinfar maintains a private practice in Arizona and is active in supporting her community. She works with police officers, veterans, children, battered women, and refugees to recover from their various forms of trauma. Particularly passionate about human rights and human dignity, she supports psychological evaluations and clinical affidavits for political asylum applicants who are survivors of torture and other human rights abuses.
